Dine Out to Help Out Tuesday, September 12th

Established in 1995, Dine Out to Help Out was created in response to the Food Bank’s need to continue providing healthy, nutritious food to families facing food insecurity in northeast North Carolina. The event has been incredibly popular with participating restaurants and patrons. Each participating restaurant agrees to donate 10% of the day’s proceeds to the Food Bank of the Albemarle. This Spicy Maple Glazed Salmon, made by Montero's Restaurant, is just one of the fantastic dishes you can have at the Dine Out to Help Out event.

During 2016, we expanded this popular event to include more restaurants from across the Food Bank’s 15 county service area of northeast North Carolina, and asked the community to dine at the participating restaurants to show their support in the fight against hunger in our community.

The second Dine Out to Help Out will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 to coincide with Hunger Action Month (HAM), and will include restaurants in: Beaufort, Bertie, Gates, Hertford, Hyde, Martin, Northampton, Tyrrell and Washington Counties.

On Tuesday, June 13, 2017 this unique fundraising opportunity was held in: Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Pasquotank and Perquimans Counties. We would like to thank each restaurant that participated in making the June Dine Out a success!
