Hunger Action Month

Tell Congress: Prioritize passing a strong farm bill in 2024!

Congress temporarily extended the 2018 Farm Bill, which means we have a few more months to make sure the next farm bill improves and protects essential nutritional programs like The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and the Supplementation Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Add your name to urge Congress to pass a strong farm bill in 2024 that invests in critical anti-hunger programs!

September is Hunger Action Month. Hunger exists in every county in the U.S., affecting 48 million Americans including 15 million children. In northeast North Carolina, 1 in 7 of our neighbors experience food insecurity.  Food Bank of the Albemarle believes that hunger IS solvable and we’re leading the charge to end it and ask everyone to take action to fight hunger in our community, all month
